 Carl is a participant in the 31st Westfield Health British Transplant Games, Sheffield 2008 and has taken part in the World Snooker competition. Name: Carl Jarvis Gender: Male Age: 49 From: Thurnscoe, Nr Rotherham On October 12 1999, Carl Jarvis underwent a kidney transplant at Northern General Hospital. Carl has sent his donors family Christmas Cards and has also heard bacl from them. Since his transplant, he has competed in the British Transplant Games, and is looking forward to joining in with the fun once again this year in the snooker event. Carl is competing as part of the Sheffield Games Team, led by Games Team Manager Betty Rayner. In his spare time, Carl, who is an ex-driller and shot firer, enjoys gardening. Carl has raised lots of money for charity through different events and most recently through a garden sale at his own house. Carls message is to carry the donor card. You never know how much you can help someone else live a healthy life. |
