The boxers, who train at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield (EIS Sheffield), have been selected for Team GB by the British Olympic Association (BOA).
Flyweight Andrew Selby, bantamweight Luke Campbell and super heavyweight Anthony Joshua all won silver at the World Championships in Baku to meet the eligibility criteria.
Tom Stalker, who won bronze at light welterweight, and Fred Evans, who made the last 16 at welterweight, also both make the Olympic grade.
They are the first five boxers to be picked for Team GB for the London 2012 Games.
Paul Hudson, general manager of EIS Sheffield, which is operated by Sheffield International Venues (SIV), said: "The boxers are a credit to the squad. Everyone at EIS Sheffield and SIV are really proud of them. They have shown such determination and desire to succeed in training every day. They have a superb set up here in Sheffield and it is an incredibly talented squad. I am sure come next summer we will be celebrating their medal success at the 2012 Games."
As the first major qualifying event for the London 2012 Olympic Games, boxers who finished among the top ten in their weight class, or top six for heavyweight and super heavyweight, at the World Championships qualified for the Games.
The athletes were formally nominated to the BOA by the British Amateur Boxing Association, which manages the Great Britain Olympic boxing programme from its headquarters at EIS Sheffield.
The state-of-the-art facilities at EIS Sheffield continue to raise the standard in British boxing.
Rob McCracken, Team GB Boxing Team Leader and British Amateur Boxing Association Performance Director said: "Since I took over as Performance Director in November 2009, the GB Boxing squad has performed consistently well at major Championships. To secure five Olympic qualifiers at our first opportunity was very satisfying and a great achievement by the boxers who have all worked hard to secure this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete at a home Olympics.
"It is also the result of a lot of hard work by a whole team of people, most notably our coaches and the sports science team from the English Institute of Sport who support the boxers inside and outside of the gym, and I would like to thank all of them for their part in helping the boxers to qualify."
British boxers have built a proud tradition of success in Olympic competition, having won 49 medals - 14 gold, 12 silver and 23 bronze - dating back to the Antwerp 1920 Olympic Games.
At the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Team GB boxers won three medals: gold by James DeGale (middleweight), bronze by Tony Jeffries (light heavyweight) and David Price (super heavyweight). All three trained at EIS Sheffield to prepare for the Games.
Councillor Helen Mirfin Boukouris, Cabinet Member for Business, Jobs and Growth at Sheffield City Council said: "Sheffield is a great sporting city. We host many elite international sporting events, as well as being the training base for several British Olympic and Paralympic teams. It is great that our Sheffield based boxers have secured their place at the 2012 Olympics. We will all be cheering them on next year. Sheffield is a place for sporting excellence and as well as attracting countries to train in our city ahead of the Olympics, it is great that we have our own home-grown talents representing Team GB."
