Tickets for the Aviva World Trials and UK Championships at Sheffield’s English Institute of Sport (EIS Sheffield) next month have sold out.
Top-class athletics returns to Sheffield for the Aviva World Indoor Trials & UK Championships on February 13 and 14, as Britain’s best line up at the city’s English Institute of Sport Sheffield, determined to secure their place on the Aviva Great Britain & Northern Ireland team bound for the World Indoor Championships in Doha the following month.
Donna Fraser did the double here in 2009, winning the 200m and 400m national titles. The Londoner beat Marilyn Okoro and Kim Wall in the two-lap event but then teamed up with them, and Vicky Barr, to take silver in the 4 x 400m at the European Indoor Championships in Turin.
Kate Dennison set a national record in the pole vault as did Kelly Proper in the long jump where she beat Strictly Come Dancing star Jade Johnson.
Expect fierce competition and high quality performances once again in 2010.
