The EIS Sheffield Athletics Arena boasts an impressive indoor Athletics Arena complete with a 200m running track, 140 metre sprint straight, throws cage, high jump, long jump, pole vault, shot putt, hurdles and other activities.

We have indoor athletics facilities in Sheffield that meet international standards and are used by professional athletes and the general public for recreation, training and events.

SIV Athletics Academy

The only Athletics club catering for this age group in Sheffield and South Yorkshire!

Fun athletics sessions that give children a taste of all athletics disciplines. Our qualified coaches teach children universal athletics techniques to help them run, jump and throw to the best of their ability.

Children are split into groups depending on their age and ability. Each session will include a warm up, games and event specific coaching. Children will work towards awards and certificates and each 10 week block finishes with a mini Olympics style competition.

Sheffield Teen Athletics

Older children can try a range of track and field events to see which they enjoy the most. Our fully qualified athletics coaches will help the children to improve their technique and fitness levels with athletics.

Sessions at EIS Sheffield are open to everyone from beginners to more experienced athletes.

Adult Athletics Sessions

Come along and try something different at our Adult Athletics Sessions. Whether you’re the next Usain Bolt or a complete beginner, our new Adult Athletics Sessions are a perfect way to keep fit and try a new sport!

Athletics Open Session

The track is open for use for athletes training with a coach weekdays 5.00pm - 8.30pm.

Anyone using the area at this time must be supervised by a qualified coach with a UKA level 2 qualification.

Adults wishing to take part in athletics at EIS-Sheffield are encouraged to join in with one of the clubs based at the venue and some of the larger clubs are listed below.
